Emily Reinhardt is a ceramic artist and designer living and working in Kansas City, Missouri. Clay is her primary medium and she focuses on the creation of ceremonial ceramic objects for the home. Each piece is made by hand in Emily’s studio in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City.
In her work, she designs and builds one-of-a-kind objects that are made with the intent to aid the user in their daily rituals that support the self. She explores the various ways that people slow down and create intimate, personal ceremonies focused on devotion and the appreciation of mundane moments. She dedicates her practice to her teacher, Yoshiro “Yoshi” Ikeda.
The Object Enthusiast was founded in 2011 and continues to grow a loyal community of customers and students. Emily teaches classes online through Skillshare, as well as in-person at her studio. She is also the co-founder of her shop, Duet, as well as the co-founder of The Ekru Project, an art gallery and curatorial project, both of which share a space with her Crossroads studio.
