Wall Hanging No. 49

A handmade, hand-painted flat ceramic wall hanging repaired in a Kintsugi-style of mending. This piece was originally cracked in two, and the gold Kintsugi-style of joining the two pieces with gold makes a more beautiful object through the acts of breaking and repair. 

This wall hanging is made from a speckled stoneware clay body. Twelve different colored circles line the front in a grid pattern. Some of the glaze colors include green, speckled turquoise, beige, grey, light blue, pink, and teal. There is a single hole at the top - this piece can hang easily on a single nail. It also looks nice on a shelf leaning against the wall.
