Veak x The Object Enthusiast - Mug No. 3
The first collaboration between Kansas City-based ceramic artists, Sarah Veak and Emily Reinhardt consists of four different mug styles, each of which were made by Sarah, and glazed by Emily.
These mugs are a unique blend of their artistic styles and their friendship. The speckled stoneware mugs have Sarah's signature uniformity and precision from her many years of experience as a functional potter, while also embracing the more organic and improvisational, one-of-a-kind feel represented heavily in Emily's work. They each got to do their favorite part of the process and it's evident in the finished mugs.
Mug No. 3 - about 5 inches tall, speckled stoneware clay glazed white on the inside and a light brown glaze on the handle, with the outer surface sectioned out and lined with colorful stacked rectangles of various glazes including cream, forest green, light blue, and light brown.
The mug holds about 12 ounces.
