Back in April I was invited to participate in a special kiln firing, one where we stoke the flames and add wood to the firing to keep the kiln going steady for several days. It required taking turns with several people taking six hour shifts and staying up all night long! It's a special process and yields unique and special results. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese porcelain candlestick holders weren't glazed at all! The glass like finish and the waves of orange and gray were all the results of the fire, the ash, and the combustibles we added to the fire. I added some kintsugi style of gold to the small cracks in the surface, giving them an even more special finish and a one of a kind feel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese candlestick holders fit standard taper candlesticks. They're 4\" tall and 4\" wide. Handle with care and enjoy these one of a kind pieces!
