Teardrops Vase

A unique, one-of-a-kind sculptural ceramic vase. It's dramatic. It's big. It is emotional. Full of feelings.

The vase was coil built from a bright white, stoneware clay, and each teardrop on the exterior surface was attached individually. The teardrops add a dimensional element to the surface and are glazed in a spiral pattern of alternating blue glazes. The vase's interior is glazed clear with a few drips around the rim, while the surface surrounding the teardrops is left unglazed, exposing the clay body's surface and the artist's subtle marks. 

The vase is 10" tall, and 7 1/2" wide at the rim.
