my first ever craft fair was a huge success! I can’t get over the warm and bubbly feelings I have inside from all the love that was shown from friends and family. I’m ready to get my shop back up and running, and fuller than ever I might add!
this vase might had to have been made for this exact arrangement. they are just perfect for each other! do you buy yourself flowers? i did the other day, and i’m so happy that i did. do something special for yourself, go buy some flowers! it sure brightens my mood . . . my stressed and frazzled mood.

today feels like a big deal to me . . .
i had my first featured blog post over on pinegate road today! kelsey and i met in an alt summit class that we took a few weeks ago, (if you haven’t taken a class through alt summit yet, i highly encourage it! i’m taking my second class tonight! great information and interesting class topics!) and we instantly bonded over our love for blogging. i have a lot of friends that i only know through their blogs, and i really love that! i’m meeting people who share a passion with me, and its quite refreshing to take that common interest and turn it into a friendship.
anywho, i’m extremely thrilled to be featured on her beautiful blog for the first time, and so thankful that she had me! another fresh start to a great friendship i presume . . . thank you kelsey!
check out the interview and the whole post right here!
janne peters is a photographer that i’ve recently discovered & can’t get enough of. here are some photographs of hedwig bollhagen, which appears to me to be some sort of ceramic art production studio (??) i might need a translator on that one . . .
either way, these photographs by janne peters are what i’m looking at right now and loving.
i’m listening to the beautiful music of nina simone today.
today marks the 9th year since her death, and reflecting on lives like this just feel right. i’m spending the day with her, and i might even try to find some white roses for the coming week.
. . . blossom on the tree you know what i mean . . .
luke has me fixed on shipping container homes. i had never heard of these being built until i met luke, and now we talk about building a shipping container home all the time. this house was built in spain by infiniski and designed by james & mau arquitectura. the home consists of four different 40 foot shipping containers, all of about 2,000 square feet. pretty sweet!
who else out there gets to work one-on-one with their favorite photographer? i am learning new things every time i see her! she’s the best, thanks kaley.
see her work over at kaleyphoto!
on monday i had the chance to wander down massachusetts street in lawrence, kansas and do a little window shopping. unfortunately foxtrot was closed, but i seriously love this window display. the colors are just right, and the use of those simple 5 gallon buckets is really neat. i very much enjoy a nicely arranged window . . .
