polka • dot • plates

9.18.2012

i need a little more pattern in my life, and polka dots are just the thing!
i think just about anything food-related would look delicious on these spotted plates by sean o’connell. these plates sure would be a fantastic addition to my mismatched dish collection.

i think i’d also like to have a few polka dotted shirts, a pillow or two . . . really, anything that is polka dotted.

more greatness

9.09.2012

the one-of-a-kind ceramic vessels made by shio kusaka have become regular favorites of mine. the lines quietly follow along with the shape of each pot just perfectly. these images were from her first solo show at greengrassi, london.

don’t you just picture these on an antique dresser full of clip-on earrings and shiny vintage jewels?
that’s where i see ‘em.

spoonie

8.13.2012

my friend nick had the nickname ‘spoonie’ and everyone in town called him that. so a lot of times when i’m in a reflective mood and a spoon catches my eye, i think of spoonie. and these spoons from akiko graham instantly caught my eye.
