a few weekends before one of my friends moved away from kansas she had a big group of us over and she just gave away a generous portion of her things. some furniture, books, clothes, random objects – just things she didn’t want to have to lug halfway across the country. she was so cool like that. flutter-ing around the world and landing every so often to be kind and generous to people and to inspire them to live better lives.

this small copper bowl/basket/dish thing is one of the objects i scored. for some reason it just spoke to me and said ‘take me’

and amanda let me have it and it sits on my desk to hold important things. and it’s one of those objects that takes me back to a specific day, a certain feeling, and a really good memory.
