i have felt the same way lately. i’ve realized that if i’m eating healthier and if i juice first thing in the morning i feel better and more awake throughout the day!
good advice rach! i’ve got to get a new juicer!!!
I’m with Rachael on the juices—or smoothies! While I’ll usually still have my cup of jo in the morning, I’ve realized sometimes if I make this smote first, I forget to!
-handful of spinach
-half and apple
-2 tbs powdered penut butter (or real if you’re not watching calories)
-1 cup almond milk
-1tsp chia seeds
It really packs an energy boost!
If you’re trying to get off, maybe try to stop drinking coffee after 11 and switch t some tea (or kombucha!) throughout the day to keep your spirits up. Then, slowly cut back.
Hope this helped, and good luck!!
smote? hah. *smoothie
Ooh yes, coffee is magical, isn’t it. I try to avoid it, or if that’s too hard, restrict myself to one in the morning (if I’m feeling desperate). Something my traditional Chinese medicine doctor recommended, which works for me, is to drink at least half (preferably one full) litre of water in the morning just after waking. It has a similar effect to coffee in that it kick starts your metabolism. You also don’t get that post caffeine boost low, especially if you maintain your water all day.
ok! these sound like great tips! good thing tomorrow starts a new, fresh week. i’m going to make a smoothie and drink lots of water. thanks for the tips ladies!
