a new leaf

i’m turning a new leaf you guys. it feels pretty good! its almost the end of july, and its time to get out of my apartment. things are in full swing, and with these new changes comes some new goals i have for myself. besides doing everything i can to build my blog and my business, i aspire to lead a healthier lifestyle full of activity and healthy eating. i’ve had several huge changes in the health department in the past 3 years, and truly i’m feeling better than ever. but i think there’s room for more.
so you’ve heard it hear first, and i hope you’ll join me in changing some bad habits and getting healthy if you need to. its disheartening to see family members and loved ones losing a fight with their health, and i want to protect myself a little bit better.

there are so many things going on in my mind these days. and in luke and i’s lives.
and a lot of worrying.
i really don’t feel like i can adequately express it all here. not yet at least. but eventually i can let you all in on some of the challenges and changes that are presenting themselves at this moment. its all just a bit scary and unsettling, but as usual – the world will keep turning and i will move forward.

i love this online store, mr. kitly! the ceramics collection is everything i love in an object. absolutely perfect. i want every single thing, and i want my store photographs to look this good. ahh….someday soon, i hope.

PLEASE go sign up! so many interesting class topics and so many inspiring people to meet! i’ve enrolled in seven different ones…i think (i’ve lost count honestly!) and i’m always wanting to take more. i can’t even pick a favorite, because i’ve seriously loved them all. i’ve even made new friends in my classes! i met kelsey in one class, erin in another, jenn, laura . . . the list goes on! this summer bing is encouraging people to get involved in new and excitng things this summer by offering FREE alt classes! do yourself a favor and sign up!
i am really enthusiastic about these classes. it is the best way for me to get the knowledge i need to make this blog everything i want it to be. i want this to be a place that you want to return to, and i’m going to work hard to make it that way.

today was pretty nice. i spent the entire day working in the studio. so today was actually a perfect day. i woke up, had coffee (because i’m back on coffee again) and hopped to it at the wheel. i made 16 new pieces today. a dirty success. and i’ve finished making my largest special order! its on to glazing now!
and have i mentioned how much i hate searching for jobs? i try to keep this place all positive, and i focus on promoting the things i love instead of bashing the things i hate, but right now i need to use that hate-word and get some feelings off of my chest.
things are going to be ok. they are. but it might take a little while…
