i still catch myself dreaming about being a photographer sometimes. (you know, photography was my major in college before i fell in love with ceramics …)
so i created this pinboard a while back on pinterest, and i’ve been filling it with, what i consider to be the perfectly styled photograph– the stuff that really catches my eye. here are a few of my favorites …

is without a doubt pine. i have so many pine-scented candles right now i never know which one to burn! this pine candle, from need supply co. is designed quite beautifully and i’m pretty positive it smells wonderful. and i mean, mad pine! what a great name …
residual christmas

luke surprised me with yet another christmas gift this year, with a subscription to dwell magazine! i love it! its like getting a little gift once a month. seeing as how i’ve never had a magazine subscription before, (isn’t that strange?? who am i??) this is extra exciting for me.
and on wednesday, luke’s mom surprised me with the most gorgeous piece of kitchen equipment i have ever laid eyes on. a kitchenaid mixer in the most perfect dandelion hue. i still can’t believe it’s mine. i never thought i’d own a kitchenaid mixer! so all of these new things have given me this late christmasy feeling, and has got my heart all a flutter … i’m reminded again how lucky i am to know luke and his amazing family.
